Marni Appleton is a writer based in London. She is the author of the short story collection I HOPE YOU'RE HAPPY, which was published by the Indigo Press in 2025. Marni holds a PhD in creative-critical writing from the University of East Anglia, and has written numerous academic articles. Her research focuses on feminism and the politics of feeling in contemporary women's short stories. Marni also teaches creative writing and gender studies, and works as a script editor.
